Trump meets with advisers in White House Situation Room: Report

A White House official stated that President Donald Trump has commenced a meeting with National Security Council officials in the Situation Room, CNN reported.

 

The meeting came as Trump assessed whether the United States should become more involved in the ongoing military conflict between Iran and Israel.

 

Trump had cut short his participation in the G7 Summit being held in Canada and returned to Washington on Tuesday to monitor the developments in the Middle East.

 

In a previous statement to CNN, the Israeli ambassador to the United States said that Tel Aviv had requested Washington to adopt a strictly defensive stance amid the ongoing events.
