The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Friday carrying out large-scale airstrikes targeting sites in Tehran, with more than 60 fighter jets as part of a military operation conducted Thursday evening.
In a post on X, the IDF said the strikes targeted several industrial sites believed to be involved in missile production, noting that these facilities are among the core centers affiliated with Iran’s Ministry of Defense.
The IDF also reported bombing the headquarters of Iran’s Organization of Defensive Innovation and Research, known as SPND, which plays a central role in the development of the country’s defense programs.
Concurrently with the strikes, Israel said it intercepted four drones launched from Iranian territory, according to The Guardian.
