Trump: Not seeking to strike Iran, but ready if necessary

US President Donald Trump said he is not looking to launch a military strike against, but affirmed he is fully prepared to take that step if necessary to stop the latter’s nuclear program.

 

In remarks from the White House on Wednesday, Trump stated he does not want a war with Iran, but made it clear that if faced with a choice between military action and allowing Tehran to develop a nuclear weapon.

 

His comments came hours after he said it’s still not too late for Iran to walk away from its nuclear ambitions.
