Israeli army targets security command centers inside Iran

The Israeli military said on Monday it had carried out airstrikes targeting command centers belonging to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and local security forces.

In a statement carried by Reuters, the army said the strikes hit units and command sites tasked by Iran’s military establishment with maintaining internal security and responding to threats.

The strikes come amid escalating military tensions between Israel and Iran, following US attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has suggested that Iran’s Fordow site may have sustained significant damage.
