Sirens sounded in northern Israel after the country said it detected missiles launched from Iran, less than three hours into the ceasefire, Associated Press reported.
The Israeli army had earlier warned that the threat remained and instructed its forces to maintain the highest level of alertness, prepared for a strong response against any ceasefire violation. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said he had directed the military to respond to Iran’s breach of the ceasefire with intensive strikes on targets in the heart of Tehran, Reuters reported.
