US President Donald Trump said that Iran failed to remove any supplies of enriched uranium from the nuclear sites that were targeted by US airstrikes during the past weekend.
“The cars and small trucks at the site were those of concrete workers trying to cover up the top of the shafts. Nothing was taken out of facility,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform today, June 26.
“Would take too long, too dangerous, and very heavy and hard to move,” he continued.
Meanwhile, two European officials told The Financial Times that preliminary intelligence reports provided to European governments indicated that Iran’s stockpile of highly-enriched uranium was "largely untouched" by the US strikes.
The two officials explained that these reports suggested that most of the highly enriched uranium was not stored at the Fordow facility but had been distributed across several other locations.
