Al Battal Factory reports limited fire at one facility

Al Battal Factory for Chemical Industries Co. said a limited fire broke out, on July 4, at one of the company’s facilities in Dammam, affecting the packaging area, administration building, and the final product inspection warehouse.

In a statemen to Tadawul, the company said the fire was fully contained by the Civil Defense teams. Cooling and extinguishing of the remaining hotspots are currently underway, in coordination with the relevant authorities.

The incident resulted in one minor injury to an employee, who received the necessary medical care and is in good health, the statement added.

The company confirmed the comprehensive insurance coverage of the affected assets.

It also maintains sufficient inventory of finished products to ensure fulfillment of customer demand, existing contracts, and other orders expected throughout this year, while implying no direct impact on the supply chain.

The company is currently conducting a full assessment of the technical, operational, and financial impact of the incident. It will disclose any material developments as they arise, in full compliance with Tadawul’s disclosure requirements.

A separate announcement will be issued later, specifying the timeline for the gradual restoration of production lines, following the completion of technical assessments and necessary safety procedures, Al Battal Factory indicated.
