MEWA approves rules for well drilling on sedimentary shelf

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture (MEWA) approved the regulations for issuing licenses to drill new wells on the sedimentary shelf (non-renewable groundwater) for specialized agricultural and livestock projects.

 

The decision takes effect from the date of its publication in the official gazette, and all previous conflicting decisions will be annulled.
