The Riyadh Metro, overseen by the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, has welcomed 100 million passengers in less than nine months since the project’s launch in early December 2024.

According to the commission, ridership on the Blue Line (Olaya Corridor) reached about 46.5 million since opening, followed by 17 million on the Red Line (King Abdullah Road), and 12 million on the Orange Line (Madinah Road Corridor). The passengers on the remaining three lines reached 24.5 million.

 

The metro achieved an operational punctuality rate of 99.78% since launch.

 

The busiest stations include Qasr Al-Hokm, KAFD, stc, and the National Museum, collectively accounting for more than 29% of total ridership, as they serve as key transfer hubs between multiple lines. According to Argaam data, King Salman inaugurated the Riyadh Metro project in November 2024. The network consists of six lines spanning 176 kilometers and 85 stations.
