US natural gas inventories post less-than-projected increase

US natural gas inventories rose by 18 billion cubic feet (bcf) in the week ended Aug. 22, below the projected increase of 28 bcf.

 

The US Energy Information Administration reported today, Aug. 28, that inventories were 3.4% less than the same period last year, but remained 5% above the five-year average of 3.06 trillion cubic feet.
