Lana boosts production capacity from expansion of plastic medical supplies factory

Lana Medical Co. said it completed the expansion of its plastic medical supplies factory, with the expansion handed over by the project’s engineering consultant.

In a statement to Tadawul, the company said the expansion aims to double production capacity, broaden its product portfolio in target markets, and strengthen its position in the medical industries sector as part of its growth strategy.

Lana said the expansion carries no financial impact, adding that it will disclose any updates or related financial effects in due course.

In November 2024, the company signed a contract to acquire 100% of Kian Plastic Factory, in preparation for converting it to produce medical and non-medical plastic products, according to Argaam data.

The investment totaled SAR 5 million, including SAR 3.1 million for the acquisition and SAR 1.9 million for upgrading the factory and converting production lines to medical manufacturing.
