Cryptocurrency prices rose during Wednesday's trading, as markets awaited US inflation data to gauge future monetary policy prospects.
Bitcoin added 1.1% to stand at $112,565.60 at 11:35 am Makkah time, accounting for approximately 57.5% of the total cryptocurrency market value.
Ethereum, the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, rose 0.7% to $4,324.96, while Ripple added 0.6% to $2.9728.
The global market cap of cryptocurrencies hit $3.91 trillion, while the total trading volume over the past 24 hours reached $147.61 billion, according to CoinMarketCap data.
Data from El Salvador's Bitcoin Office indicated that the country purchased an additional 27 cryptocurrencies in the past seven days, bringing its total holdings to 6,315.18 Bitcoin (worth $711 million).
US Producer Price Index data is scheduled to be released later today, ahead of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) report on Thursday.
