US natural gas inventories rose more than expected by 71 billion cubic feet (bcf) in the week ended Sept. 5 but remained below the level recorded in the same period last year.
The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported today, Sept. 11, that inventories were 1.1% less than the same period last year, but remained 6% above the five-year average of 3.15 trillion cubic feet.
