Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Commerce announced that the number of active commercial registrations in the Kingdom reached 1.7 million in 2025, reflecting continued growth in the business sector.
In a statement, the ministry said the number of sole proprietorship registrations rose to 1.2 million in 2025, up over the past five years. Limited liability company registrations increased to 462,000, while joint-stock company registrations reached 4,300, as shown in the following table:

The ministry emphasized that this growth reflects ongoing efforts to facilitate doing business, boost the private sector’s contribution to the national economy, and diversify economic sources in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
