Saudi Electricity names Khalid Al-Ghamdi as CEO

Saudi Electricity Co.’s (SEC) board of directors approved the appointment of Khalid Al-Ghamdi, effective as of Oct. 1, 2025.

 

Al-Ghamdi holds a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering from KFUPM, Saudi Arabia, and a Master’s degree of Information Systems (MIS) from the University of Phoenix, the US.

 

He has 20 years of diverse and cross-functional experience, having led the Corporate Digital Strategy, Investments and Growth at Saudi Aramco.

 

Al-Ghamdi also held several leadership positions in Saudi Aramco and Saudi Electricity. He currently chairs the Arab Union of Electricity.
