Diriyah inks SAR 917M deal to develop Grand Mosque

Diriyah Co. signed a SAR 917 million contract with a consortium comprising Al-Majal El-Arabi Group and MAN Enterprise AlSaudia to develop the Grand Mosque as part of the project’s second phase.

 

In a statement on X, the company said the mosque spans 12,300 square meters and will accommodate over 11,400 worshippers, with 5,240 indoors and 6,160 in outdoor courtyards.

 

The GCC-based X Architects designed project combines Najdi architectural heritage with modern engineering, adhering to the highest standards.

 

The Grand Mosque development is part of the Diriyah Gate project, located northwest of Riyadh on a 7-square-kilometer site. The mega project aims to transform Diriyah into a global tourism destination.
