MARAFIQ clarifies water tariff hike limited to 9.56% in industrial sector only

MARAFIQ said the 9.56% water tariff increase applies only to the industrial sector, with no change for residential, commercial, or government users

The Power and Water Utility Company for Jubail and Yanbu (MARAFIQ) said the difference between the current and previous water tariffs represents a 9.56% increase, applicable only to the industrial sector.

 
In a statement on Tadawul, the company clarified that the latest tariff adjustment does not include any increase for the residential, government, or commercial sectors.
 
MARAFIQ reaffirmed its commitment to disclose any material developments in accordance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
 
According to Argaam data, MARAFIQ earlier received approval to revise water service tariffs for the industrial segment in cities supervised by the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY), with the new rates taking effect on Dec. 7.
