Expat remittances in Saudi Arabia rise to SAR 13.3B in August

Remittances by expatriates in Saudi Arabia rose by 12% year-on-year (YoY) to around SAR 13.3 billion in August, according to recent data released by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

 

Compared to July, remittances decreased by 11%, or about SAR 1.6 billion.

Remittances by Saudi nationals to other countries also retreated by 16% YoY to SAR 4.9 billion in August 2025, the lowest level in a year and a half.
