US natural gas inventories expanded by 80 billion cubic feet (bcf) in the week ended Oct. 3, beating Wall Street Journal forecasts for a 75-bcf increase.
The US Energy Information Administration reported today, Oct. 9, that natural gas stockpiles were 0.6% higher than the same period last year, and 4.5% above the five-year average of 3.48 trillion cubic feet.
