TASI: Retail investors hit 7M, institutional investors surge 6x in a year

The number of retail investors in Tadawul-listed companies rose to 7.05 million by the end of September 2025, an increase of 150,000 investors compared to Q2 2025.

Male investors constituted the majority with around 5.26 million, while the number of female investors reached 1.78 million.

Retail investment portfolios rose to 14.29 million by the end of Q3 2025, compared to nearly 13.91 million portfolios in the previous quarter.

It is evident that some investors maintain multiple investment portfolios, as the number of portfolios is almost double that of investors.

The number of institutional investors grew to approximately 96,000 during Q3 2025. The number of institutional investors saw a notable increase since Q3 2024, more than sixfold in just one year.

The number of institutional investor portfolios exceeded 127,000 during Q3 2025, an increase of more than 20,000 portfolios compared to the previous quarter, while it tripled in one year.
