Fourteen firms have been invited to bid for the contract to undertake the initial infrastructure works at the Expo 2030 Riyadh site, MEED reported.

The company floated the tender for the project’s initial infrastructure works in September.

The invited firms include Shibh Al-Jazira Contracting, Hassan Allam Construction, El-Seif Engineering Contracting, Al-Ayuni Investment & Contracting, Kolin İnşaat (Tukey), Al Yamama Co. for Trading and Contracting, Saudi Pan Kingdom Co. (SAPAC), UNIMAC, Mapa Insaat (Turkey), Yuskel Insaat (Turkey), IC ICTAS & RTCC JV (Turkey/local), and Mota-Engil/Albawani (Portugal/local).

The overall infrastructure works will be split into three packages. These works will cover the construction of main utilities and civil works at Expo 2030 Riyadh.

Saudi Arabia won the bid to host Expo 2030 in late 2023, and the event will be held on a site spanning over 6 million square meters, located near King Salman International Airport.
