SAL will provide groundhandling services for Emirates SkyCargo in Saudi Arabia

SAL Saudi Logistics Services Co. renewed its strategic partnership with Emirates SkyCargo Co. by signing an agreement to continue delivering integrated solutions, including ground handling and air cargo services.

In a statement to Tadawul, SAL said there is no fixed contract value, as service fees are charged on demand according to the rates specified in the agreement.

Under the agreement, SAL will continue to provide comprehensive operational services to ensure the smooth operation of Emirates SkyCargo’s activities in Saudi Arabia.

These services include, but are not limited to, ground handling, aircraft loading and unloading at airport ramps, and other related operational services.

SAL noted that the agreement aligns with its strategy to enhance the efficiency and reliability of its services and reflects the continuation of a long-term partnership with a distinguished global partner.

The agreement is expected to raise operational standards in air cargo services and expand SAL’s integrated service offerings in the sector.

The company also highlighted that the renewal agreement is automatic for a period similar to that disclosed in SAL’s issuance prospectus and expects the financial impact to be positively reflected during the contract period.

According to data available with Argaam, Saudia Cargo initially signed an agreement with Emirates Airlines in 2013, which was transferred to SAL in 2020.

Under the agreement, SAL provides unloading and ground handling services at airport ramps for Emirates Airlines flights to Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah, and Dammam. The term of the agreement has been extended to remain in effect until June 30, 2026.
