FII9 will host sessions on AI and balanced economic growth, among others
The Future Investment Initiative (FII) Institute launched today, Oct. 27, the 9th edition of its flagship conference, FII9, in Riyadh, under the patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The event will run at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center, under the theme “The Key to Prosperity,” until Oct. 30.
A number of thinkers and experts will discuss ideas and experiences in closed sessions today.
The conference will feature a diverse range of sessions addressing vital topics such as the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics on productivity, wealth creation amid growing inequality, the geoeconomic effects of resource scarcity, demographic shifts reshaping the future workforce, and strategies for balancing economic growth with environmental sustainability.
The initiative focuses on the challenges hindering progress through an examination of the "paradoxes of innovation."
The sessions will discuss how advances in technology and policy drive growth, how breakthroughs in AI and emerging technologies create new opportunities, and the impact of geopolitical tensions and resource disparities on global connectivity.
The FII9 is expected to attract more than 8,000 participants and 650 prominent speakers across 250 discussion sessions.
