Southern Cement appoints Abdulsalam Al-Duraibi as CEO

Southern Province Cement Co.’s board of directors appointed Abdulsalam Al-Duraibi as the company’s CEO.
 

According to a filing to Tadawul, Al-Duraibi will assume his duties starting Dec. 1, 2025.

 

Al-Duraibi has extensive experience in the financial and industrial sectors, having held several leadership and executive positions, most recently serving as CEO of Najran Cement Co.

 

He has also served as a member of the boards of directors and specialized committees of several listed companies.

 

He holds a master’s degree in business administration from Seattle University in the US and a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM). He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter-holder.

 

According to data available with Argaam, Southern Cement’s board approved the request of CEO Aqeel Kadasah to terminate his contract by mutual consent, effective Aug. 30, on personal reasons.

 

In October, the board decided to appoint Saud Al-Bargan as Acting CEO until further notice.
