Jabal Omar inks deals to run 7 hotel towers in Makkah

Jabal Omar signs two major hotel management deals with Accor and Rotana to operate seven towers in Makkah’s landmark project.

Jabal Omar Development Co. said it signed two contracts with Accor Group and Rotana Hotels & Resorts to operate seven hotel towers within the fourth phase of its Makkah project.

According to statements on Tadawul, the first contract with Accor covers the management and operation of four towers comprising 1,141 units, which will open under the Sofitel Jabal Omar brand in Q4 2026. The financial impact will appear once operations begin.

The second contract with Rotana covers three towers including 655 units under the Rotana Jabal Omar brand, with operations set to start in Q4 2025. The financial impact will also be reflected after the hotels open.

Jabal Omar said both Accor and Rotana will receive a share of revenues and a percentage of the hotels’ gross operating profit in return for management and operation services.

Each contract runs for 15 years, renewable upon mutual agreement, and involves no related parties, the company added.
