Arabian Drilling Co. (ADC) received notices to resume operations at two of its temporarily suspended offshore rigs at current market day rates, the company said in a statement to Tadawul.

The rigs, along with the company’s first international contract, are scheduled to begin operations in Q1 2026, bringing offshore utilization to full capacity by Q2 2026.

Commenting on this development, CEO Ghassan Mirdad said the resumption of two offshore rigs is an encouraging signal for Arabian Drilling and the broader energy sector in Saudi Arabia.

“This development signals renewed momentum and growing confidence in our operations. We welcome these recalls and remain optimistic about the evolving landscape, which we believe holds further potential for positive shifts across our fleet,” he added.

The timing of Arabian Drilling’s decision to streamline and strengthen its cost structure has proven to be well-chosen, supporting our readiness to capitalize on emerging opportunities.

In June 2024, Arabian Drilling suspended two rigs with Saudi Aramco for 12 months, Argaam earlier reported.
