The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) sought public input on the draft regulations governing the review and decision process for objections to the assessed total rental value of vacant properties, through Istitlaa platform, until Nov. 20.

The draft aims to organize procedures for reviewing and deciding on such objections in a way that ensures fairness, transparency, and the protection of all parties’ rights, in line with the relevant legal provisions between lessors and lessees.

Under the proposed regulations, REGA will handle objections to the assessed total rental value of vacant properties submitted by the lessor through the Ejar platform. The authority will review and decide on the request within 10 working days from the date the application is deemed complete.

Applicants must provide any additional documents requested by REGA within 10 working days of notification; otherwise, the objection will be closed.

Applicants will be informed of the decision, whether approval or rejection, immediately upon issuance through the Ejar platform.
