US natural gas inventories rise less than expected

US natural gas inventories rose less than expected during the week ending October 31, according to data released Thursday by the Energy Information Administration (EIA).

 

The data showed an increase of 33 billion cubic feet (bcf), compared to expectations for an increase of 34 bcf.

 

US gas inventories are 0.20% lower than the same period last year, but 4.3% above the five-year average of 3.753 trillion cubic feet.
