Miahona Co. signed on Nov. 18 two appendices to its original agreement with the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade (MIIT) and the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of the Republic of Uzbekistan, establishing exclusive cooperation for the rehabilitation or replacement of several irrigation water pumping stations in the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
Through these development agreement appendices, Miahona and the Uzbek parties aim to expand cooperation on the rehabilitation, replacement, and long-term operation of irrigation water pumping stations across Uzbekistan.
The company further explained that it will conduct studies and feasibility assessments for the development, rehabilitation or replacement, and long-term operation of irrigation water pumping stations under a build-operate-transfer (BOOT) model, covering more than 100 stations in the Karakalpakstan region and over 200 stations in the Khorezm region.
According to data available with Argaam, Miahona signed two memorandums of understanding (MOUs) on Sept. 4, to develop new projects in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
