NADEC move aimed at enhancing board’s diversity in expertise, qualifications, and capabilities
National Agricultural Development Co.’s (NADEC) board of directors recommended, on Nov. 20, amending the company’s articles of association to increase the number of board members from seven to nine.
With the move, the board seeks to enhance its diversity in expertise, qualifications, and capabilities, and to broaden the range of skills in a manner that aligns with the company’s current and growing scale, NADEC said in a statement to Tadawul.
This will also contribute to advancing the company’s strategic priorities and future expansion plans.
The company will complete all required regulatory procedures and obtain the necessary approvals from the competent authorities. This recommendation will be presented to the shareholders at the upcoming extraordinary general assembly, the date for which will be announced later.
According to data available on Argaam, NADEC recently appointed Abdulrahman Abdulmohsen AlFadley, Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, as a board member.
