The Council of Ministers, chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, approved the 2026 state budget and issued a related resolution today, Dec. 2.


The 2026 public expenditures were budgeted at SAR 1.31 trillion, while total revenues were estimated at SAR 1.14 trillion, with an expected deficit of SAR 165.4 billion.

For 2025, revenues are estimated at SAR 1.09 trillion and expenditures at SAR 1.33 trillion, with a deficit of SAR 245.0 billion.

 

Capital expenditure is forecast to reach SAR 162 billion in 2026, representing about 12.3% of total spending.

In 2025, GDP reached SAR 4.60 trillion in 2025, while inflation rose 2.3% from 1.7% a year earlier.

 

The budget estimates GDP will increase to SAR 4.96 trillion in 2026.
