Four Saudi companies, namely TAQA, ADES Holding Co.Arabian Drilling Co. and Arabian Geophysical and Surveying Co. (ARGAS), signed agreements with the Syrian Petroleum Co. covering services, technical support, development, and production in oil and gas fields across Syria.

These agreements were signed under the supervision of the Ministry of Energy and fall within the framework of the memoranda of understanding signed on August 28, 2025, The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The deals included an agreement between ADES and Syrian Petroleum outlining the core principles for gas fields development, operations, and production. It also set the terms and conditions of the final technical service contract, as well as the associated facilities within the contract area, to increase current production.

The agreement covers five gas fields: Abu Rabah, Qamqam, North Fayad, Tayas, and Zamla Al-Mahr, in addition to any other area mutually agreed upon at a later stage.

TAQA Well Solutions and Syrian Petroleum signed a separate agreement for advanced, integrated solutions and services for the construction and maintenance of oil and gas fields and wells in Syria. The agreement aims to enhance operational efficiency and increase oil and gas output through state-of-the-art, integrated well construction and maintenance solutions utilizing the latest global technologies and equipment.

ARGAS signed a core services agreement with Syrian Petroleum to provide technical services in two-dimensional and three-dimensional seismic surveying. The agreement supports exploration and drilling activities in the oil and gas sector and establishes a long-term strategic cooperation framework to advance petroleum exploration, develop Syria’s energy industry, enable fast response and operational flexibility, and facilitate the timely launch of technical projects.

Arabian Drilling inked an agreement on core principles with Syrian Petroleum to provide drilling and maintenance services for onshore oil and gas wells in Syria through leasing and operating rigs for drilling and maintaining onshore wells. Under the agreement, Arabian Drilling will supply onshore drilling rigs, well-servicing rigs, necessary maintenance services, operational support, and training and development for the national workforce.
