ASMO, a joint venture between Saudi Arabian Oil Co. (Saudi Aramco) and DHL Co., announced the start of operations at the Central Pipe Yard (CPY) near Abqaiq in the Eastern Province.

CPY spans over five million square meters (sqm), serving as the largest facility within ASMO’s network in Saudi Arabia and one of the world’s largest logistics hubs for pipe materials.

The facility aims to support Aramco’s upstream and downstream operations, marketing activities, and industrial projects by storing and distributing pipe products used in upstream, as well as enhancing delivery efficiency across supply chains.

According to the company's statement released today, the CPY is the third facility operated by ASMO, following its storage facilities in Riyadh and Jazan. Together, these facilities form the pillars of the company’s supply chain network, contributing to the enhancement of the Kingdom’s logistics transformation and supporting Vision 2030 objectives.

ASMO plans to operate six logistics and storage facilities covering an area of 8 million sqm and to oversee procurement exceeding $8 billion by 2030, according to Argaam data.
