Saudi Arabia aims to implement the first phase of the seventh line of the Riyadh Metro in 2026. The line will extend from the Diriyah Gate project in the north to the Qiddiya project in southwest Riyadh, Saudi Minister of Media, Salman Al Dossary, said.
Speaking at a press conference held in Qiddiya today, Dec. 22, Al Dossary added that the Riyadh Metro recorded an on-time performance rate of 99.8% since it began operations in 2025.
He also noted that the metro has served 120 million passengers since the launch of the project up to October.
In a separate context, the minister said that activities related to the gaming industry, artificial intelligence technologies, and cybersecurity recorded growth ranging between 23% and 35% during Q4 2025.
