Arabian Pipes to set up coupling plant for drilling pipes at Second Industrial City, Riyadh
Arabian Pipes Co.’s board of directors approved, on Dec. 24, a project to establish a pipe coupling plant for drilling pipes at the company’s facility in the Second Industrial City in Riyadh.
The project has an estimated cost of SAR 30 million and an annual production capacity of up to 50,000 units. It is part of the company’s strategy to localize technology and enhance local content.
In a statement to Tadawul, the company said the project is expected to have a positive impact on its financial statements following the start of commercial production.

The company noted that contracts for project execution will be awarded to several specialized contractors and suppliers after obtaining the required regulatory approvals from the relevant authorities.
It added that the plant will add value to the company by localizing pipe connections manufacturing technology, supporting the fulfillment of contracts to supply casing pipes for oil and gas wells, meeting local market demand, and enabling exports of pipe connections.
