YIC project moves to licensing phase after completion of system tests

Mouwasat Medical Services Co. said it has completed all inspection, calibration, and testing work required for the mechanical and medical systems at its project in Yanbu Industrial City (YIC).

In a statement to Tadawul, the company said it will begin obtaining the necessary licenses to commence actual operations of the project.

The company added that the start-up date will be announced after securing final approvals from the Ministry of Health.

According to Argaam data, Mouwasat signed a SAR 295 million construction contract in June 2022 to develop the Mouwasat Hospital project in YIC.

The company plans to establish and operate a fully integrated hospital in YIC’s Al Sawari district, with a total investment of SAR 500 million over an area of 40,000 square meters.

The hospital will include 200 beds and 60 clinics.

On Sept. 29, Mouwasat announced the completion of construction works and the start of a 90-day trial operation period.
