Wafrah said the delay in operating the lines is due to the delay in receiving the electrical transformers and some electrical works
Wafrah for Industry and Development Co. said its new spaghetti and nested nidi pasta production lines will start commercial operations in January 2026.
In a statement to Tadawul, the company said the delay in receiving and operating the lines was due to delays in the delivery of electrical transformers and the completion of certain electrical works. Additional delays were caused by the final programming of the production lines and the late arrival of engineers to test the packaging lines and train personnel.
The financial impact of the new lines is expected to appear in Q1 2026, Wafrah added.
In November 2022, Wafrah signed an agreement with Italy’s Pavan Group, owned by the German engineering group GEA, to supply two production lines for long-cut pasta and nested pasta at a value of €9 million (SAR 35 million), Argaam reported.
