Southern Cement expects financial impact of energy price adjustment to reflect starting Q1 2026

Southern Province Cement Co. received a notice from Saudi Aramco regarding a change to the prices of fuel products used in cement production, effective Jan. 1.

In a statement to Tadawul, the company said this adjustment will affect Q1 2026 financial results.

The cement producer is calculating the expected financial impact and will announce upon completion of the review, the statement added.

The company noted that it has joined the Industrial Sector Competitiveness Program starting from 2024, which will contribute to mitigating the financial impact and improving energy efficiency.

The cement producer further emphasized that it continues to implement its strategic plans aimed at improving production and operational efficiency, and enhancing energy consumption efficiency. These measures are expected to minimize the financial impact of fuel price adjustments.
