Tihama subsidiary renews Houghton Mifflin Harcourt deal

Tihama Advertising and Public Relations Co.’s subsidiary, Tihama International Advertising Co., completed today, Jan. 8, the renewal of its exclusive distribution agreement with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. The update includes amendments to certain contractual terms to align with the company’s strategic and operational plans.

 

The renewed agreement runs through December 2028 and includes a provision for automatic renewal, as stipulated in the contract, the company said in a statement to Tadawul.

 

The renewal is expected to support the continuity of its educational distribution business, with any material financial impact, if applicable, to be reflected in the relevant financial statements.

 

The company said the extension strengthens its ongoing commercial relationships with international partners and supports the sustainability of its subsidiaries’ educational operations.

 

According to Argaam’s data, Tihama had previously announced in February 2021 that its subsidiary extended its exclusive distribution agreement with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, the global provider of educational curricula from kindergarten through high school.

 

At that time, the agreement granted Tehama exclusive distribution rights in Saudi Arabia through December 2023, with an option to extend until December 2025.
