GOSI data shows 3 mln Saudi citizens registered in the social insurance scheme


Saudi Arabia’s social insurance scheme included 13.2 million public and private sector employees by the end of Q3 2025, the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) data showed.

 

Insured citizens reached three million, accounting for 23% of the total subscribers. Meanwhile, the number of insured expatriate workers reached nearly 10.2 million, or 77% of total registered employees.

 

Social insurance subscribers working in the private sector reached 12.6 million at the end of Q3 2025, representing 95% of total registered employees.

 

The number of registered subscribers in the government sector reached approximately 636,000.

 

Regional distribution shows that Riyadh accounted for the largest number of insured workers with nearly 6.5 million or 49%, followed by the Eastern Province (2.5 million) and Makkah (2.2 million).

 

During the three-month period, 173,200 individuals suspended their social insurance subscription.

 

Saudi citizens who stopped their subscriptions during the period accounted for 52% of the total, or 90,900 subscribers, while the number of non-Saudi subscribers reached 82,300, representing 48% of the total.
