Riyadh city
Hotel room occupancy in Saudi Arabia rose to about 49.1% in Q3 2025, from 46.1% in Q3 2024, data issued by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) showed.
Meanwhile, occupancy in serviced apartments and other hospitality facilities fell to 57.4% during the same period, according to GASTAT’s Tourism Establishments Statistics bulletin.

Room occupancy rates in Madinah hotels were the highest in Q3 2025, reaching 68.9%, followed by Riyadh at 58.1% and Aseer at 54.1%.
Riyadh led serviced apartments with an occupancy rate of 65.9%, followed by Najran at 62.7%, then Makkah at 55.7%.
Meanwhile, Hail saw the lowest hotel occupancy rate, at 32.3%, while the Northern Borders recorded the lowest occupancy rate for serviced apartments at 42.1%.

The average daily rate (ADR) for a hotel room in Saudi Arabia reached about SAR 341 during Q3 2025, a 4% decrease compared to Q3 2024. However, the ADR at serviced apartments and other hospitality facilities amounted to approximately SAR 208 during the same quarter, up 4% year-on-year (YoY).

The number of workers in Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector grew by above 6% YoY in Q3 2025, reaching more than one million.
Of the total, 245,200 were Saudi nationals, representing 24%, while 764,500 were non-Saudis, accounting for the remaining 76%.
