NGDC receives Energy Ministry’s notice on gas service tariff adjustment

Natural Gas Distribution Co. (NGDC) received today, Jan. 12, a letter from the Ministry of Energy, regarding the amendment of the natural gas service tariff to SAR 1.39 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) of dry gas.

 

The new service tariff will be effective from January 1, 2026, it added in a statement to Tadawul.

 

The company also expects this decision to have a positive impact on its financial results starting from Q1 2026.

 

Accordingly, the company will study the expected financial impact and announce it in due course.

 

According to Argaam’s data, NGDC received a notice from the Ministry of Energy, in March 2024, on the 4.58% increase in the service tariff for natural gas to SAR 1.20 per million Btu. 
 
Thus, the new increase is about 15.8%, or SAR 0.19 per million Btu of dry gas, compared to the price before Jan. 1, 2026.
