Full EV manufacturing to begin in Saudi Arabia by end of 2026: Lucid Exec

Marc Winterhoff, Interim CEO of Lucid Group, said the company is preparing to transition from vehicle assembly to full electric vehicle manufacturing within Saudi Arabia by the end of 2026, at a new facility near Jeddah on the Red Sea coast.

 

Speaking on the sidelines of the Future Minerals Forum in Riyadh, as reported by Al-Eqtisadiah, Winterhoff added that the company has already started moving equipment and is proceeding according to the planned schedule.

 

He noted that production will gradually ramp up throughout 2027 and 2028, with the facility expected to reach its maximum capacity of 150,000 vehicles by 2029.
