East Pipes said its board approved establishing a new external steel pipe coating line
East Pipes Integrated Co.’s board of directors approved, on Jan. 15, establishing a new external steel pipe coating line at the company’s pipe coating plant in Dammam 2nd Industrial City, at an estimated cost of approximately SAR 78.5 million.
In a statement to Tadawul, the company said construction of the project is scheduled to begin in February 2026, with completion expected in the first quarter of FY 2027/28.
The project will be financed through available cash, bank facilities, and other financing programs, the company noted.
East Pipes expects the financial impact to be reflected starting from the first quarter of FY 2027/28.
It added that trial production is expected to commence in the first quarter of the 2027–2028 fiscal year and will last for one month, noting that contracts will be signed with several parties to supply machinery and equipment.
Commercial production is also expected to begin in Q1 FY 2027/28.
East Pipes said it will disclose any material developments related to the project in due course, confirming that no related parties are involved.
The expansion aims to double the plant’s current nominal production capacity to eight million square meters annually, enabling the company to meet growing market demand and strengthen its competitive position.
