Prices of 7 key goods and services remained stable YoY in December
Average prices of 84 out of 169 goods and services in 10 categories in Saudi Arabia moved higher year-on-year (YoY) in December 2025, data issued by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) showed.
Prices of 78 goods and services decreased, while seven remained stable without change.
Central African lemon recorded the highest price last month, up 32.17%, followed by Egyptian Navel oranges at 16.80%.
Meanwhile, local round onions recorded the lowest price, dropping by 38.90% YoY, followed by imported round onions, which declined by 25.57% YoY.
Prices of 27 housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuel items rose in December, while 11 declined compared to the same period in 2024.
Elsewhere, prices of four pet products and other cultural items increased, while one item declined YoY.
In the clothing category, prices of four items increased YoY, while six others retreated YoY for the same month.
Prices of all three miscellaneous personal services and commodities went down YoY.
Prices of one household furniture, appliances, and maintenance items rose in December 2025, while the other three decreased.
Likewise, prices of the three health services witnessed a YoY rise in the same month.
For transport services, one rose and the other declined in December.
Regarding restaurants and accommodation services, the price of one service increased during December 2025, while the prices of the other two services decreased.
Under the tobacco category, the price of Marlboro cigarette fell YoY by the end of December.
