The cumulative impact of AviLease, the Public Investment Fund’s (PIF) aircraft leasing subsidiary, on Saudi Arabia’s gross domestic product (GDP) is expected to reach SAR 11.25 billion by 2030, the sovereign fund said on X today, Jan. 21.

AviLease is also projected to create 11,400 direct and indirect jobs. The firm plays a prominent role in attracting international capital to the Kingdom’s transport and aviation sectors. It contributes to recovering around SAR 1.9 billion annually from lost economic value.

The PIF noted that the company is considered a leading force in global aviation finance, enabling global fleets with highly fuel-efficient aircraft.

According to Argaam data, the PIF launched its subsidiary AviLease in 2022. The company focuses on leasing, sales, and fleet management services, purchasing aircraft and leasing them back, executing direct purchase orders from aircraft manufacturers, in addition to an investment arm that includes acquiring portfolios and companies.
