HRSD's Nitaqat Program launches new phase to boost Saudization by 340,000 jobs over coming 3 years
Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) announced the launch of a new phase of Nitaqat Mutawar Program, starting in 2026 for a period of three years.
The strategic move aims at localizing more than 340,000 additional jobs for Saudi nationals (males and females) in the private sector.
In a statement issued today, the ministry said that this phase is an extension of the program’s success since its launch in 2021. Moreover, the new phase will contribute to increasing Saudi participation in the labor market, creating high-quality job opportunities, and achieving a sustainable balance between labor supply and demand, thereby supporting national economic growth and enhancing private sector confidence over the long term.
The Minister of HRSD, Ahmed Al-Rajhi, stated that the new phase was carefully designed to ensure a balance between boosting Saudization and supporting private sector growth.
He also emphasized that previous phases of Nitaqat Program have demonstrated the ability of Saudi citizens to succeed and excel across various professions with high efficiency.
Meanwhile, Vice Minister for Labor Affairs Abdullah Abuthnain explained that the ministry conducted comprehensive analytical studies covering all sectors and establishments, based on which realistic target Saudization rates were proposed. It also took into account the nature of business activities and market conditions, alongside the availability of national talent that has proven its capability to perform these roles.
