Al Battal Factory receives SAR 21.8M insurance settlement for facility fire

Al Battal Factory for Chemical Industries Co. received a letter on Jan. 22 from the loss adjuster regarding the insurance claim for damages caused by a fire at one of the company’s facilities on July 4, 2025.

In a statement to Tadawul, the company said the approved assessment values its net insurance entitlement at SAR 21.83 million. It noted that it had previously received an advance payment of SAR 6 million, leaving SAR 15.83 million pending the assessment.

The final settlement of the remaining amount depends on completing the required technical documentation and fulfilling policy terms, including proof that rehabilitation and repair work has begun.

Al Battal Factory confirmed its continued efforts to coordinate with the insurance company and loss adjuster to meet all requirements and secure the remaining payment.

Any material developments with financial implications will be disclosed in accordance with regulations. 

According to Argaam data, Al Battal Factory reported on July 6 that a limited fire occurred at its Dammam facility, affecting the packaging area, administration building, and final product inspection warehouse.
