Lazurde CEO steps down, Ehab Ibrahim takes helm

Lazurde Co.’s board of directors accepted the resignation of Managing Director and CEO Adnan Al-Khalaf, which was submitted for personal reasons, according to a statement to Tadawul.

 

According to the statement, Feb. 19 will be Al-Khalaf’s last working day in the above position, while he will continue as a non-executive board member. The resignation is effective as of the date of the board’s approval today, Jan. 29.

 

The board, in turn, appointed Ehab Ibrahim as CEO, effective Feb. 20, the statement said.

 

Ibrahim currently serves as Deputy CEO. He was previously COO of Lazurde Egypt for Jewelry since 2011, after first joining in 2003. During his career, which spans more than 30 years, he has held several other senior positions, said the company.

 

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Helwan University in 1990, and a professional diploma in marketing from the American University in Cairo, awarded in May 2007, it added.
