Saudi Arabia’s low-cost carrier flynas plans to establish a new airline in Syria, Al Arabiya reported, citing unnamed sources.


The sources added that three Saudi companies intend to invest in major projects in Syria.

 

Acwa Co. plans to sign an agreement to develop a water desalination and transmission project.

 

stc is set to sign an agreement to develop telecommunications infrastructure.

 

Moreover, BinDawood Co. will sign an agreement to develop and operate Aleppo International Airport.


Earlier today, Feb. 3, Reuters reported that Director General of the Syrian Investment Authority, Talal al-Hilali, said that Saudi Arabia will invest in a new private Syrian airline as part of a multi-billion-dollar investment package expected to be announced on Saturday, Feb. 7.
